Ka’u Coffee was cultivated in 1894 on the hillsides and valleys facing the deep blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Ka’u coffee is grown by farmers with passion and aloha. The unspoiled land, a sunny climate and misty afternoons give Ka’u coffee its characteristic of being smooth and creamy, with a hint of sweetness and deep flavors.
For the past seven years, Ka’u coffee has placed in the (top seven) in various coffee-tasting competitions within the world’s largest coffee gatherings, hosted by the Coffee Association of America Convention. In 2010 the professional tasters gave such high scores to Ka’u coffee that Ka’u brought Hawaiian coffee to regional status. Six of the Ka’u coffee farms were entered into this international roasters guild, and the “coffees of the Year” competition became finalists, along with 68 other coffees from around the world. Ka’u coffee has been the new popular choice of coffee on the Big Island. Divine Hawaiian Coffee’s selection of Ka’u coffee is hand-selected to ensure premium quality.
